Smoked Flanken Ribs

This is a great Asian Style Flanken Ribs recipe and after the marinating it really goes fast. We used our Big Green Egg, but you could use any direct heat source for hot and fast cooking. This is really quite simple and these ribs have amazing flavor!

 

• 3 LBS of Flanken Style Ribs

• 1 Pear Diced

• 1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar

• 4 Cloves of Garlic, Crushed

• 1 Tsp of Fresh Ginger

• Juice of Half of Lime and Lemon

• 1 Cup of Soy Sauce

• 3 TBSP of Sesame Oil

• 3 TBSP of Rice Wine Vinegar

• 6 oz. of Pineapple Juice

• 1/2 Cup of Water

• 1 Tsp of Hot Honey Sauce

 

Mix all the ingredients for the marinade into a food processor or blender. Blend until the liquid is smooth. Place the ribs into a storage bag and pour marinade over the top. Seal the bag and let sit for at least four hours. You want to turn the bag every couple hours so the ribs marinate evenly. Prepare your Egg for direct cooking. We ran ours at about 400 degrees. It ended up taking about 10 mins on each side. Remove from heat and let rest, then serve.
