Philly on Texas Toast
Who doesn’t like a good Philly Cheesesteak? Nothing beats the real deal from Philly but we think these are a great at home treat! Make sure you don’t skimp on the ingredients and use that good shaved ribeye!
· 14 oz. Shaved Ribeye
· 1 Sweet Onion Diced
· 2 cups of Mushrooms Chopped
· 4 slices of American cheese (use Cooper if you can find it)
· 4 TBSP of Cheese Whiz
· 4 Slices of Texas Toast
Set your flat top to Med-Hi heat and begin sautéing your onions and mushrooms. Cook until tender and slightly browned. Place your shaved ribeye on the flat top and brown on both sides. Chop or shred the steak into smaller pieces. Once cooked through combine the steak, onion and mushrooms. Add your American cheese, once melted, combine. Butter and toast the Texas Toast on the griddle. Spread one tablespoon of the Cheese Whiz on each slice. Build that Philly as large as YOU like! Cut in half and enjoy!
